Aid for environmental investment

There are several schemes in place in Scotland that allow for aid towards environmental investment.

Scottish Enterprise

The Scottish Enterprise Business Support Scheme 2009-13
(X 43/2009) allows discretionary funding to support environmental studies relating to investment decisions on environmental protection, energy saving measures and renewable energy.

The scheme operates under the provisions of the EC General Block Exemption Regulation (No 800/2008), and Section 4, Article 24 in particular.  More information on the provisions of the scheme can be found here, or contact John McMillan on 0141 228 2368

Highlands and Islands Enterprise

The Highlands and Islands General Block Exemption Scheme allows discretionary funding to provide aid towards environmental protection activities.  This includes investment aid to go beyond community standards, for early adoption of Community Standards by SMEs, for energy saving measures, high efficiency cogeneration, promotion of renewable energy and aid for environmental studies.

This scheme operates under the provisions of the EC General Block Exemption Regulation (No 800/2008), and Sections 4 in particular.  More information on the provisions of the scheme can be found here, or contact Melvyn Waumsley on 01463 244 474.
